I have allowed this blog to lay dormant for a while, but feel it is time to resurrect it. My purpose is to expose those that I interact with to get a flavor of my new found passion and profession of natural medicine (namely essential oils, diet and exercise). I know essential oils are as effective, if not more so than modern-mainstream-synthetic drugs. Plus they are compatible with the body. May you see so for yourself :) First proofs are a couple of studies done with On Guard and its capability to decrease the MRSA count in petri dishes. It is fascinating. Check it out....
Here is a great intro to the MRSA vs. On Gaurd War

Kiss Gloss (doTERRA style)
Thanks to the all amazing Pintrest. I found a recipe for lip gloss "kiss gloss" (as the creator call it) using essential oils. Imagine the suprise when I saw a pic of doTERRA's oils in the pinned picture. Attached is the recipe I found and the blog is posted too, enjoy!!

Homemade Kiss Gloss
This homemade lipgloss is my favorite recipe because it uses inexpensive "ingredients" that are easy to find. Each little batch turns out a slightly sweet, candy-flavored lipgloss (you can sniff it, but it's not for eating!) that feels splendid on the lips and makes every kiss taste delish!
Ingredients:
1 teaspoon paraffin wax
4 teaspoons coconut oil
4 teaspoons petroleum jelly
4 white or pink (or whatever color you like) candy melts
1/2 teaspoon oil-based candy flavoring
(Lemon, peppermint, ginger oil)
4 teaspoons coconut oil
4 teaspoons petroleum jelly
4 white or pink (or whatever color you like) candy melts
1/2 teaspoon oil-based candy flavoring
(Lemon, peppermint, ginger oil)
Directions:
Grate the wax into a ziploc freezer bag. Add the coconut oil, petroleum jelly, candy melts and the flavoring. Place the bag in a bowl of very hot water and allow the ingredients to melt together. Massage the bag a bit to mix the ingredients together. Snip a corner from the bag and squeeze the ingredients into small containers (we used sterilized bead holders purchased from JoAnn). Pop your lip gloss containers into the fridge to cool completely. Gift and enjoy!

Horse Happiness
Tricia forwarded this story on to me a while ago and I forgot to paste it.. so here it is.... Overall many many people have had huge success using the oils to help heal thier pets...
Hi,
I have been asked numerous times to write Lucky's Story down and share it. He is a lovely horse, one of the smartest, and most compassionate fun loving horses I have ever met. Here is his story.....
First off, we have been using doTERRA Essential Oils for over two years now and are continually amazed at how affective and easy to use they are. We use the oils for digestive issues, depression, headaches, Auto Immune Diseases, and much much more...............
We also use the oils on our dogs, and have heard stories of people using the oils on rabbits, cats, chickens and goats.
Back to Lucky's story........last summer we had a horse (Lucky) go into surgery for a bone infection in his kauffan (not sure I spelled that right) bone. ( In his foot) Not an easy problem to fix.
We were told by our vet that there was only a 50/50 chance it would be successful, and a 50/50 chance Lucky would come out of anesthesia and undo the whole thing. If that happened, we agreed to go ahead and have him put down. He also told us Lucky would have to be kept at the vet clinic for two weeks with a 6 week protocol of antibiotics at home, keeping him still, taking the metal plate off the bottom of his hoof every other day to clean.
Did I mention he was a young, inexperienced well bred palomino quarter horse my daughter rescued from the slaughter truck? We were taking great risk and knew that best case scenario, Lucky would just be a therapy / pasture horse if the surgery was successful. (I think the vet thought we were crazy for taking such an expensive risk, but agreed to do the surgery)
We instructed the vet assistant to put 4 drops of Serenity down Lucky's spine before surgery, and when they were done and he was about to wake up, to reapply the drops down the spine and a couple on each knee, and a couple on his chest.
The surgery went well and he came out of the anesthesia amazingly calm. They watched him on the camera wake up and reported that he was not drowsy, but was so relaxed.
After the 3rd day, my daughter and I arrived at the vet clinic wanting to bring Lucky home. The vet told us we would have to take the plate off, clean his wound, and give him his antibiotics, without a shot, before he would release him. We would have to do the whole procedure just using the oils to calm him. We were successful and did take him home!
It was not easy, but we did it!!
(Remember, he was young and his foot HURT!)
When we got home we used Lavender and Melaleuca on his wound. A few days later I had to take Lucky back to the vet clinic for a checkup. The wound had healed so well that the vet had to reopen it to allow better drainage. We adjusted the oils and "Lucky" continued to heal incredibly fast.
Almost a year later, Lucky is doing well and has been a beautiful addition to our herd. He will always limp a bit, but he is a such a smart, sassy and thankful horse. He is truly a pleasure to be around.
My daughter uses Deep Blue and Peppermint to rub down her barrel horse's legs before and after a race, we use Wild Orange for depressed horses, (rub on face and let the horse inhale) and my neighbor used 5 drops of Serenity down her mare's spine when the horse was colicing. It worked! Not sure how or why, but she went from misery to ok within 35 minutes. We also use Lavender and Melaleuca for Thrush and Scratches with great results.
doTERRA means "Gift of the Earth"
The oils are easy to use with no side affects and usually are less expensive per dose than OTC drugs. We love them and our animals do too!

Go Do(terra) Personal Testimony
So... I have been studying a company that sells essential oils. Essential oils have healing properties like medicines...but are completely natural. I have been highly impressed with there products, the company and there founders. They hold strict standards for the grade of essential oils that they sell. meaning the oils sold are pure, unmixed and highly concentrated.
I am convinced of the product becuase of the benefits I have seen within my family and friends. Within my relm of family and friends the oils have healed a myriad of problems including hayfever, hemmorging, muscle aches and pains, sore throats, heartburn, etc. Remember medicines from the store originated from essential oils.
If you would like to learn with me about doterra and essential oils...I invite you to an informal, no pressure get together at my house Wednesday, June 30th at 8-9 pm. Or if you want to try an essential oil for some particular problem let me know. Ill see what I can do to help you out...Here's to natural healing and not relying on Doctors and meds to solve all our problems. God gave us the tools we need to be whole. much care..

a real CURE to the baby earache.
This is a story from Tricia's designer. Of course Trish would share the oils with her...and good thing too!!!!
Poor baby has just been having a go! She has been tugging at her ears and crying an 'it hurts!' cry. I put some basil and melalueca on her ear lobes and I am not kidding she was a different baby in about 5 minutes!!!!!! This was a few days ago and if she gets fussing I put a little more. She still wants to be held constantly, but at least she's happy.
You guys probably hear it all the time, but I was really impressed. Yeah!

Marina's found her Match (finally)
A terrific testimonial from Marina on Life Long Vitality Pack!!!!!!
You know I have tried lots of supplements over the years, for myself and especially for my daughter. Since she is non-verbal, I can't get a report from her on how she is feeling using these vitamins, but I can tell you how they've helped me. I have tried so many brands, some rather expensive and touted to be unusually wonderful, and I have often been disappointed, until now.
I have arthritis in my wrists and fingers, not a good thing for a wallpaper hanger and painter, so work is painful for me.....or was, until I started taking these supplements. I stopped taking them for a couple of weeks because I started giving them to E. (daughter), and only had one box of them. The pain in my hands and wrist returned. I started taking them again only two days ago, and voila! the pain is gone.
Additionally, I've noticed clearer thought processes (no small feat for me!) and more energy. Both are worth gold to me, as I am sure they are for anyone living in our fast-paced world today with women working and running a household, and both men and women under so much stress. I feel much less stressed and the energy is much needed and appreciated.

Wattleworth without waddle!!!
This is a great success story from a lady on our team named Marie Wattleworth!!!!!
About 2 months ago I was experiencing some severe hip pain. It had been bothering me for several years, but seemed much worse lately. I was planning on calling an Osteo-arthritis specialist, but first we went to a do-terra meeting at Barb and Ken Millers house on Oct 27th. I thought I would give it a try, even tho I was very skeptical. So I bought the Vitality Package ( the pills) and the Physicians Kit. That night I rubbed Deep Blue on my hip and started the pills. The very next day when I got out of bed I wasn't limping like I had been. I may not be 100% pain free, but I think I'm at least 80% better. I have continued with the pills and the Deep Blue. I am SOLD. I am enjoying all the oils I bought.
